Services
Many homeowners make the mistake of spending time and money on internal refurbishment while neglecting the basic fabric of the building.
A sound roof is fundamental to protecting your property and maintaining its value.
We are specialists in all New Tiled and Slate Roofs.
We have been completing new roofing projects since 1978 which means we have put thousands of new roofs on domestic houses in different styles and colours.
Most popular new roof coverings:
Redland 49 Tile
A visually appealing, small interlocking cambered tile that has defined the roof scapes of London and the South East for more than 50 years. This tile has recently been improved and with its ease of installation is a major benefit in domestic new build or re-roofing applications.
Redland Plain Tile
The Concrete Plain tile creates a highly desirable roof and as a design has been used since the 17th Century. Plain tiles are small and rectangular in format and have always been 265mm x 165mm (or in fact 10 ½ " x 6 ½ ") in overall size, requiring 60 tiles per square metre. They perform by overlapping densely up to three tiles deep to achieve a watertight layer. It is this functional requirement that creates their rustic appearance, adding a sense of detail and texture to the roof. This character is enhanced by the effect of cambers longitudinally and across the width. This versatile, cross-cambered concrete tile is an alternative to the traditional clay plain tile, and is perfect for complex detailing and curved roofing. Available in a choice of 2 textures and 9 colours, the plain tile is suitable for roof pitches down to 35 degrees and for vertical cladding applications.
Natural Slates
Natural slates will last the life time of a building if installed correctly and have been widely used on major projects such as supermarkets, schools, hotels, city offices and prestige buildings. They can withstand the most severe weather conditions and are unaffected by sunlight, ultraviolet light and even acid rain.
Eternit Fibre Cement Slates
Eternit 600mm x 300mm (24" x 12") man made slates are an attractive flat, square edged fibre cement slate that are manufactured to the highest European standards. They are lightweight, preholed, suitable for all types of projects, easy to handle and install, durable and an economic alternative to natural roofing materials.
With their lightweight, low wastage, design flexibility and ease of installation and it's easy to see why they are the choice for all types of new build and refurbishment projects, including houses, flat-to-pitched roof conversions and challenging commercial projects.
Eternit slates are manufactured using Portland cement together with a non-asbestos formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres, and are pigmented during production and are fully compressed. They are finished with a high quality, semi-matt acrylic coloured coating to the top face and edges and a tinted, high performance binder to the back face.

Flat Roofs
One of our completed roofs in a traditional three layer polyester felt system with hot bitumen
What Is Roofing Felt?
Roofing felt is a term describing a roll of a base material which is impregnated and coated with bitumen or modified bitumen. High performance felt has a polyester base material which doesn't split and is impregnated in modified bitumen.
Polyester Felt Flat Roofs:
Application Of Felt
There are 2 main methods of applying felt; The first and original method is "Pour & Roll". This is where bitumen is melted in a bitumen boiler, often called a pot, then using a ladle put into pouring cans ready to be poured onto the roof surface so that the felt can be rolled into the flood of bitumen.
The second method is "Torch-on". The felt is manufactured with a layer of modified bitumen applied to the underside of the felt, this is heated up and melted using a gas torch to form a "flood" of bitumen at the base of the roll just like pour & roll.
Surface Finish
The bitumen on roofing felt should be protected from UV rays to prevent it from cracking.
This protection is usually provided using mineral surfaced felt which is available in a range of different colours.
The three layer systems we install will last around 40 or more years!

Life expectancy of over 100 years!"
A brief history of GRP
Fibreglass, or GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) was discovered in the late 1940's. It was quickly adopted during the 1950's and 60's for a wide range of applications where its corrosive-proof properties allied with its high strength and excellent appearance soon proved to be invaluable. Its first main application was for boat building, where it gained acceptance in the 50's and is still widely used today.
The uses for GRP have since broadened to the extent that it has now become the standard material for the construction of small craft, water tanks, building cladding panels, roof lights and of course high performance waterproof coatings. In the last ten years a rapid growth has occurred in the GRP roofing industry as more and more people realise the benefits of fibreglass.
This high quality roof could put value on your property and will enhance its looks for years to come!"

What are Fascias?
The fascia is mounted at the point where the roof meets the outer walls of the house and is often called the ROOFLINE. However most people refer to it by the name of the main board that carries the gutter – the fascia or fascias.
Unfortunately, not many people are familiar with these terms, so we thought you might appreciate a few words of explanation.
Fascia
The fascia board is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. The fascia is fixed directly to the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the bottom row of tiles and carrying all the guttering.
This is no mean feat, especially when it is raining hard. In a downpour the roof of a 3-bed semi could be washing several gallons of water per second into its gutters.
Bargeboard
This is the board that is used on the gable end of a house. The condition of the bargeboard can often make or break the look of a house, and over the years it has evolved into some very attractive shapes.
Soffit
The soffit board is tucked away under the fascia board. It is usually the board that you see most of from street level. The soffit can be ventilated if required to allow the flow of air into the roof area.
Boxend
The Box End is a work of art, accommodating as it does the many different angles, planes and heights of the fascia, soffit and bargeboard at each corner of the house where there is a gable end.

Full Replacement or Cap-Over
Too often we have seen customers having capping boards fitted over existing timber fascias rather than having the old timber completely removed and replaced with uPVC fascias. This may seem the more cost effective option when presented to you in the short term, but over the long run is it really such a good idea? The rotten wood hasn't gone anywhere; it is still there, deteriorating even more each year. Eventually the nails will come loose due to rotted and infested wood, leaving your fascias exposed and unsecured.
Euroclad Roofing & Cladding Ltd. recommend a complete uPVC roofline and uPVC fascias replacement where possible.
Our Specialist Team Supply & Fit:
- uPVC fascia boards
- uPVC soffit boards
- uPVC barge boards
- uPVC cladding
- Guttering all different shapes sizes & colours
